Each bag of sediment gets an inventory number and is slid down on a rope. Down the slope, two donkeys carry bags further to the UAZ car. Next, the car brings the bags to the wet-sieving and flotation station.
This is the very first fieldwork in Uzbekistan with a complete wet sieving of excavated sediments – circa 50-100 bags of 10-12 kg per day.
